This blog was created by this retired Missouri Pacific engineer in order to share my railroading pictures. After retiring from the MP/UP, I obtained a BS in Medical Technology, an MBA in Health Care Management, and finally, I completed my law degree in May 2005. I still run trains on weekends for the Austin & Texas Central RR. Now I am a dispatcher for the Austin Western Railroad in Austin, TX.

Dear Engineer,
I just found your blog and was facinated by the technology and engineering components of driving, navigating and braking. You do so much with everything! I live in St. Augustine Florida and work as an RN, am a student of Elementary Education and drive the Ripley's Red Sightseeing Trains on the weekends (only 60ft long with electric brakes) My other project is reading to PreK kids with the Early Learning Coalition. The book I chose this month is "The Little Engine That Could" and I was wanting a few modern photos. Any suggestions?
